Nez Magazine Edition 10 is a unisex unscented magazine. How do taste and smell work, and what links them so deeply? How are food aromas and fragrances inspired by food created? Can smells really influence our relationship with what we eat? This tenth issue of Nez explores the sensory connections between nose and mouth, perfumery and cuisine, offering an original look at the affinities between worlds only seemingly distinct. Through a multidisciplinary approach that interweaves art, literature, science, history, photography, gastronomy and perfumery, Nez invites readers to rediscover the power of smell as a key to reading the world, and as a fundamental sense for better understanding ourselves and our daily habits.
More information
In each issue, the journey into the olfactory universe will make various stops, passing through the "Odorama" dossier, in which there will be a focus on raw materials by investigating their use and symbology, and then taking a leap into the past thanks to curiosities of relevant personalities in the world of perfumery with the "Correspondences," until imagining what stars of the past would choose upon entering an imaginary "Boutique." Finally, an agenda enumerates olfactory events not to be missed: books, exhibitions or other events (increasingly numerous) related to perfume. This is just a foretaste of what awaits you as you flip through the magazine and explore its topics page by page.
