Francesca dell'Oro Irupe Eau de Parfum is a unisex floral perfume. Irupé is the common name for Victoria cruziana, a giant water lily which thrives in the water basins of South America, particularly the Paraguay and Parana rivers, where its enormous rounded leaves float gracefully on the water's edge. Irupè is a fragrance with a marine, floral, woody and musky vocation, centred on the perfumer's most sensual flower, the tuberose. Like the majestic Victoria cruziana, it seems to rest languidly on a pool of salt water, which liberates it - willingly - from all carnal excess, washing away everything that disturbs a perfect moment. The notes of tuberose and refined gardenia are made more acidulous and less penetrating by the very fresh melon, while in a colourful game the carnation spreads its peppery hair over the whole. Transparent waves enhance the freshness of laurel and mint. Francesca Dell'Oro gives us a summer memory made of sea, salt, known and loved plants, which blends and mingles with the scents of gardens that reach the shoreline. An icy shiver runs through the sun-warmed skin: the cardamom in the jus is colder than ever, and the pungent aroma of the pink berries amplifies the icy breath. Musks and vanillin sweeten this marvellous potion to be served chilled, while the sea returns like a réfrain through the dry salty smell of shipwrecked wood tossed ashore by capricious waves.
