    Heeley Cardinal Eau de Parfum is a unisex amber oriental perfume. A timeless scent built around the traditional incense notes of labdanum, ciste, frankincense and myhr. Cardinal perfume's air of lightness and purity is portrayed by a note of fresh, clean linen. The association of grey amber, patchouli and vetiver imparts this perfume with mysticism and a rare and contemporary elegance.

    Holy Smoke… But Make It Elegant 🔥

    Cardinal is absolutely beautiful. The incense is there, but it doesn’t arrive with a dramatic entrance, smash the church doors open and shout “MAKE WAY FOR THE INCENSE!” 😂

    Instead, it simply walks in wearing a perfectly ironed white shirt.

    It is clean, airy, elegant and beautifully balanced. The incense feels incredibly natural, surrounded by soft woods, myrrh and a slightly peppery freshness. Heeley describes the concept as white linen infused with incense, and honestly, that description makes suspiciously good sense.

    What surprised me most is how delicate Cardinal feels compared with some of the heavier incense fragrances I have tried. I also own LAVS, which is basically “the church has caught fire, but somehow in a very sophisticated way.” 🔥😂 Cardinal is the opposite — more like sunlight coming through the stained-glass windows.

    It sits beautifully on the skin and feels incredibly refined. It doesn't try to dominate the room. It doesn't need to. It just quietly makes you wonder why everything else suddenly smells rather ordinary.

    Performance on my skin is around 5 hours, so this isn't a fragrance I would choose when I need my scent to survive a nuclear winter. But for its character, elegance and sheer beauty, I really don't care.

    Cardinal is not trying to be loud. It is trying to be beautiful — and it succeeds.

    Five stars.
