Milano Fragranze Basilica Candle is a aromatic candle. In the deserted basilica, the a cappella singing of the choir echoes off the sheer stone walls. On the side altar, the small lights of many candles warm the heart. The basilica of Sant'Ambrogio is one of the oldest churches in Milan, and is located right in Piazza Sant'Ambrogio. Today, it represents not only an early Christian and medieval monument, but also a fundamental point in the history of Milan and the Ambrosian Church. It was built between 379 and 386 at the behest of Bishop Ambrose himself, who dedicated it to the martyr saints buried in it (i.e. the martyr saints Satyrus, Victor, Nabor, Victor, Felix, Valeria, Gervasius and Protasius). The name of the church became ‘Sant'Ambrogio’ on the death of the founding bishop. Major extension works were ordered by Bishop Angilbert II, while the tiburium was built in the 12th century.
