Penhaligon's Quercus Cologne is a unisex chypre Eau de Cologne. Created in 1996, from the Latin name of the Oak, it is inspired by grandeur and majesty. From the acorns was extracted quercite, a precious substance believed by alchemists to be rich in mysterious aphrodisiac properties. A surprisingly fresh, citrusy departure that becomes boisé skin contact. A genderless and ageless essence. Quercus declares itself with a bright burst of citrus and basil, supported in the middle by an accord of jasmine, cardamom and sweet, spicy and extremely delicate lily of the valley. The greenness of basil persists in the base notes of surprisingly hardy musk and sandalwood. These are warmed with musk and patchouli to create an elegant, strong eau de cologne...impossible to go wrong!
